I bought an SSL and I need to configure it; How?

You have purchased an SSL from ucclouds.com and have received a SSL Configuration email; there are some questions that are commonly asked.  Here are the steps and How To's to get your recently purchaed SSL.

Step 1:

Web Server Type: APACHE + MODSSL

STEP 2:

Server Information

You must have a valid "CSR" (Certificate Signing Request) to configure your SSL Certificate. The CSR is an encrypted piece of text that is generated by the web server where the SSL Certificate will be installed. If you do not already have a CSR, you must generate one or ask your web hosting provider to generate one for you. Also please ensure you enter the correct information as it cannot be changed after the SSL Certificate has been issued.

HOW TO: Generate the CSR, login to your cPanel, scroll down to the SECURITY SECTION and click on the SSL/TLS Manager.The process is simple as cPanel has put everything you need to do in a step-by-step direction.

IMPORTANT! When generating the CSR, be aware of the domain name that is chosen; www.domainnameexample.com or domainnameexample.com.  Only wildcard ssl certificates can secure both with and without www.

 

Private Keys (KEY)

Generate, view, upload, or delete your private keys.

This is a REQUIRED First step

Certificate Signing Requests (CSR)

Generate, view, or delete SSL certificate signing requests.

Answer the questions to generate the CSR.  Once you have generated the CSR, paste it in the SSL Configuration Area.

STEP 3:

Administrative Contact Information

The contact information below will not be displayed on the Certificate - it is used only for contacting you regarding this order. The SSL Certificate and future renewal reminders will be sent to the email address specified below.  Complete this information and then CLICK to CONTINUE.

This step is completed.  Once you have received an email with your SSL Certificate

STEP 4:

Install the SSL Certificate by logging back into your cPanel and scroll down to the SECURITY SECTION and click on the SSL/TLS Manager.  From within the SSL/TLS Manager select: Generate, view, upload, or delete SSL certificates. Follow the steps in this section - Your SSL should have successfully installed.
